Act 3 Last Post

In Act 3 we find out that Mrs. Linde and Krogstad have a little history together. We kind of figure this out by the way Mrs. Linde calls Krogstad by a nickname she says which is "Nils". Nora and Helmer come back from the dance and Helmer is drunk. Dr. Rank is comes in and he is soon about to die. Helmer is saying how he couldn't wait to get Nora back home all to himself but Nora is rejecting him and telling him to stop. Helmer finds a letter about Dr. Rank and he finally finds out that Dr. Rank is going to die. Nora and Helmer are talking and Nora finally stands up for herself and tells Helmer off. She decides to leave Helmer and the kids while Helmer is pleading for her to stay. Helmer is still begging her to stay and he even asks can they live together as brother and sister(weirdo). Nora says that before she is a wife and a mother she is also human and needs to move on with her life. She says that Helmer never loved her, he only loved the thought of being in love with her. People this is sad. How can she leave him after 8 years? How can she leave me? She left me people she left me, NOOOOOOOOO. I am a lonely man without my little skylark. Why Lord, WHY? lolz

I believe in this play Nora was the doll stuck in the house being played with by everyone around her. That is why its called A Doll's House. But then the doll left the house so it should be changed to A House lolz. Miss. Santos I want to read the other ending of the play because this ending sucks real major.

Act 2

In Act 2 Nora is in her house trying on her dress for the dance but it needs to be sewed up so Mrs. Linde is sewing it. Helmer has decided to fire Krogstad from the bank and he gave the maid a letter to give to Krogstad telling him that he is fired. Nora is begging Helmer not to fire Krogstad and telling him to get the letter back but it was to late. Dr. Rank walks in the door and Nora starts to flirt with him a little bit showing him her stockings and what not(skank azz trick). We soon learn that Dr. Rank is dying. Dr. Rank is Nora's best friend and he gets jealous of Mrs. Linde because he feels that she will take his place in the family. Krogstad comes back to harass Nora again exposing her of an idea she had of running away from her home to avoid paying up the rest of the dept. Krogstad is pressuring Nora to tell Helmer to let him back in the bank and Krogstad is planning to do something if he doesn't get his old job back or a better job. Yo this story is FIRE!!! lolz

Nora: In Act 2 we learn that Nora is trying to flirt with Dr. Rank just so she can get the rest of the money to pay the rest of her dept. She is not as helpless as we thought she was. she just seems that way because she always accepts the little pet names that Helmer calls her just so she can get her way with him.

Helmer: Helmer decided to fire Krogstad from the bank but Nora is unhappy with this decision. Helmer is always calling Nora little pet names that we as a class said were kind of demeaning and downgrading Nora as a person even though I still don't understand how he is downgrading her. Helmer thinks that Nora always needs him and he always wants to save her from something and be her hero (SUPER JERK)lolz. But I also don't agree with this either but that's just my opinion.

Act I

Nora: Nora is Helmer's wife. They seem like a lovely couple but Nora acts like a little child and Helmer treats her like one. She is always asking for money and even though Helmer keeps telling her that she needs to be more conservative with their money, he gives it to her anyways. She gets into a little trouble with their money concerning the health of her husband, Torvald.

Helmer: Helmer is Nora's husband. He is obsessed with saving money even though he gives all of it away to his wife. He is constantly making little pet names for Nora such as "my little skylark" or "songbird". The person who Nora has to turn to to save Helmer's life is Krogstad.

Krogstad: Krogstad is a former coworker of Helmer. Nora asks Krogstad for twelve thousand dollars to go to Italy and save her husbands life. Krogstad figures out that Nora's father didn't sign a document and is threatening to use that against Nora in court. Krogstad was also in trouble with the law because he forged himself.

The setting takes place in Norway. Throughout the whole play they are in Nora's and Helmer's house. It takes place around Christmas time.

Henrik Ibsen

Henrik Ibsen waz a 19 century poet and and author of realistic dramas. He was born on March 20, 1828 and died on May 23, 1906. He was born in Skien, Norway which make him Norwegian and died in Kristinia Norway. He was the author of many dramas such as A Doll's House, Peer Gynt, Ghost, And The Wild Duck. He was also called " the father of modern drama".

The title A Dolls House makes me think of a little girl with her dolls or somthing because dudes dont play with dolls. We call them action figures. The title might have to do with the topic of women and marriage because this play was also called the first true feminist play written by Ibsen.
